We had a wonderful tour guide who taught us about life in 1864. This is a picture of the Carter's farm office. They had the largest cotton mill in Williamson county.
The Carters had a forty-foot well. The kids enjoyed looking down and were glad that there was a grate to keep them from falling in.
Later on, we took a hike to Ft. Granger, a massive Union fort just outside the park where we had lunch. It was a great day. Thank you for your help and support!
