Home Work: November 4 Tuesday

Hello all you wonderful parents! Today was a great day at school. The children were energetic and excited. I think they were jumpy from all the candy. We dove into the perilous territory of pumpkins for science. This week we will be studying pumpkins in many aspects from pencils to paint to pumpkin pie. I've also started to work on the History Sound Off with the class. Make sure you rehearse that with your child. Here is the homework for tomorrow.

Math: Complete Worksheet 29B
Phonics: Complete Lesson 52 Worksheet A/B
Bible: Memorize Westminster Shorter Catechism 1-7 & Matt 5:1-10
Poetry: "Autumn" by Emily Dickinson
History: Continue to work on Sound-Off. We made great progress today.
Science: Make a Jack-O-Lantern from the attached documents in email.

We are working on the History sound-off...and I'm sure you know what my annoying parent question of the day is! When does this need to be COMPLETELY ready by?
By the way, I love that you have a blog for the class. And I'm stoked that you are a Chesterton fan. 'Orthodoxy' changed my life. (I'm a bit of a fan)

Thanks,
Tiffany (aka Moira's Mom)

Tiffany,

I still have not heard word from Wendy but shall contact her regarding the issue. I can only say what Chesterton said of St. Francis and that is, "There is the spirit of swiftness. In a sense he continued running for the rest of his life, as he ran after the beggar. Because nearly all the errands he ran on were errands of mercy, there appeared in his portraiture a mere element of mildness which was true in the truest sense, but is easily misunderstood."
